    White smoke @ hard accelerations

Nothing is supposed to be attached. That is the bleeder for the hydraulic throwout bearing. The line on my truck wiggles a little too so I wouldn't worry about it.

    GM-8 rebuild?

Thanks for all the advise. I think I'm gonna try to rebuild it. It will be a little while though, got to put a clutch in the daily driver first...... so much fun.

    GM-8 rebuild?

I picked up a GM-8 turbo from the salvage yard this past weekend. They let me have it for free because the bearings are shot. The shaft has some side to side play but it doesn't look like the compressor wheel has contacted the housing. My question is is it worth it to try and rebuild it and use...

    carrier bearing

My regular cab long bed 3500 2wd has one but my 2500 regular cab long bed 4wd doesn't. I guess it just depends on the distance between the tranny/transfer case yolk and the diff yolk.

    '94 6.5 NA to a 93 6.5 TD Mechanical pump

I am almost positive the compression is the same on both engines. The 93 ran low boost, hence the high compression.

    Water Pump Removal/Replacement Question

Be sure to pull the bypass hose nipple off the old pump as the new one does not come with it(at least my reman one didn't) and the dealer told me it was no longer available. Found that out after it was already too late.:mad2:

    '93 engine code question

Thanks for the info guys. The injection pump and injectors were replaced less than 100,000 miles ago. I will have to look into the timing chain before I put the new waterpump on (still waiting on some parts). I'll post a pic of the valve cover decal as soon as I can.

    '93 engine code question

The 8th digit is a F, so I'm guessing that means it's a F motor? Also replacing the water pump is a PITA. Nothing like a SBC.

    '93 engine code question

On my '93 C3500 the valve cover decal says the engine code is RKJ and it states the est. horsepower as 200. Does anyone have any info on this engine, such as the differences between a "F" code engine and mine. It also seems to be a little louder than any other 6.5 I have ever heard, however it...
