the oil pan will turn around but you will also have to get the oil pick up tube for a pick up. it is about 180.00 from the dealer unless you can find one used, found mine on ebay for 25.00
my 5.9 12v came out of a fedex truck, they are p pump injection pumps, it is a large round bell housing for a allison transmission not found in pickups only heaty duty apps.
it was a two wire plug i left the brown wire unhooked and connected the white wire to the r terminal, now the tach works great and no batt light. the cummins engine was out of a box truck and the alt setup was all ready on it so i dont know what size the pully is, iam running it the same way it...
ok got it figured out had to remove brown wire its not needed, tach and all other gauges work properly, thanks for the post midnightplowboy that saved me some money from haven to buy an aftermarket controller.
midnightplowboy, did your battery light come on when running the tach off the 22 si alt, i got mine hooked up and the tach works butt the battery light is on know.
it doesent work yet but iam looking into an adaptetr from dakota gauges i think its called ds-2 it counts the fly wheel teeth. i think it will work with the factory tach. there is not much info on this out there. i have a pick up with 4 magnets on the balancer to drive the tcm but it would not...
its the stall speed even with the low stall 6.5 converter it still not right iam goin with a 1100 or 1200 stall, od lock up is fine cruising but pickin up speed and low speed drivin sucks.
thats sounds like a nice one, i would make sure you take care of the kdp in the front cover while your engine is out, the biggest issue that i had was rad clearance because i built my own motor mounts because i wanted the drive train to stay in ts stock location. if your gonna use the stock...

thanks about 3000 miles on swap, had the body lift before swap imo made it much easier, also droped the front diff 2'' and had to modify oil pan, it would be a lot easier with a sas. dont no about 2wd there would probly be more clearnce. torsion bars are maxed out i check the bearings and ball...
