I have heard that 15 psi is the highest boost a stock 6.5 can handle without modification. I already have a boost gage and will install a egt gage when I do the crossover pipe.
Hello everyone I just got a hx35 turbo for my 99 gmc 3500 6.5l turbo diesel. I was wondering if if matters if the exhaust flange is divided or if it has to be the open one like my gm8 has. I already installed a 4 inch turbo back exhaust with a 4 inch down pipe still have to do the crossover...
Well the truck has been in the shop since Wednesday. He found that the fuel pressure is a little low he also fount a fuel leak somewhere on the injection pump. Told him to go ahead and fix it.
Should have the exhaust tomorrow does anybody know what size bolts are on there cause I'm sure some of them are going to break when I try to remove them.
Just ordered a 4" diamond eye turbo back exhaust from KT performance got it for $236 with free shipping. from what I hear that's one of the best exhaust systems for our trucks. Should I also order a new cross over tube as well? The kit comes with a 3 in down pipe.
Thanks for the warm welcome GM GUY. Yesterday I replaced the o ring for the fuel heater and water in fuel sensor. I also put in a boost gage. I will put the waste gate back on today as well as reinstall the air box today if it stops raining long enough. The west coast mirrors were on the truck...
Finally got a pic I will be attempting to fix the fuel leak either today or tomorrow. If all goes well then I'll probably order new injectors and glow plugs.
