Its tougher in Wisconsin
for that price I'd be way way ahead to just take off the intake manifold and give it to an experienced tig welder.

Reminds me of the prototype expansion chambers you'd see the factory two stroke MX guys running back about 6-7 years ago. Cobbled together with function clearly taking precedence over form.
