That is a nightmare. Especially for a fat man
I have been mighty fortunate most of my entire life.
I am 6’ 1” to 2” tall and less than 200 pounds most all of My life.
When I was a drunk my weight got up to 235 pounds. Most of that was bloat from a failing liver.
After I quit drinking weight dropped to around 200 pounds but I wanted to drop some if that.
Changed what I was eating.
Now its a lot of meat and items that are high in protein. Near a KETO diet but not quite.
After about a year my weight went from 200 pounds down to 185 and holding steady.
I do eat just enough caloric types of food so that the protein has a little something to burn.
Animal fat is a large portion if those calories. Not too often I’ll eat some potatoes.
My bread intake consists of those roll up things like whats used for soft shell tacos.
A couple slices of cheese laid out on one of those shells, then a couple slices of lunch meat makes a mighty filling sandwich. 🤪😀

In my younger days, I did 100 push-ups and 100 chinupsand pull-ups as a warm.up for the day.

I.nevrr quite got over the eating level that supported my activity level and really packed on the pounds when I got lethargic.
I was 220, back then. I got as high as 290 - still had 38" waist on the jeans and have been struggling trying to get my weight down. I've been bouncing between 230 and 260.

We eat very well here. 3 freezers full and only 2 people here.

I do pretty good on my own. My wife's good cooking is my downfall.

That can be a problem.
I tell Vicki, no breads and no potatos.
Yet she insists on fixing a potato of some sort.
I started ignoring most any thing with calories and dig into the protein portions.
She then sometimes has to toss the caloric types of food as they get old setting in the fridge.
