Vac Pump Removal

Was just wondering, when I remove my vac pump is the bracket that it is mounted to still necessary to support the AC compressor or will I need to pull the pump and then put the bracket back. Thanks!

I pulled the pump & then put the bracket back for support...info from Heath D..
