Ya gotta admit though; When a 6.X goes, it goes big and leaves no doubt it's done!

block dead not even going mess with it..,.

only thing is geting a dmax/6bt in it.. cut fuel cost by 40%

6bt would be the quickest/easiest I'm thinking...probably around 5 grand all said and done.

swaping dmax or a 12v cost wise is almost the same.. with adapter plates..
i have a line on a low milage lb7 with all the wireing harness from the donor truck for ~3000 not including shipping.. engine is already on a pallet..

Yeesh...

One word; injectors.

Not that it isn't a good piece of kit, but injectors seem to be a major pita on the lb7 and it ain't a cheap fix...

I was meaning its probably easier to swap in a 6bt.

Not cheaper, but easier.

Especially with a p pump.....

just picked up a 06 LBZ(lly) (98k)out of a 06 van with all related harness
chassis harness
engine harness
dash harness including tow haul and OBDII(data port)
pedal
fuel pump filter and cooler
ECM
MAF on the filter.
tcm is gone hit pass front corner

i plan on using the IC/rad out of my 02 and some msc other stuff

anything good on the 6.5 is for sale in thne for sale section

little over 5,000

the van dmax are rated for 250/460 vs the trucks 360/650
which is little better then the 194/440 that was in there

plus with efi live and switchable tunes and tow haul mode going to be nice

I don't have enough to swap out the 4l80 for an allison. So the 80 will get red clutches and shift kit. And detune the vans tune. It will still run better then the 6.5 did.. so no you didn't miss anything main reason for getting the van variants
