What diesel powered vehicles have you owned, other than the full size p/u's and suv's generally covered here?

Choices would be.

VW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW, Olds 350 diesel powered cars (Olds,Chevy,Cad,Buick, ect),Peugeot, Toyota car, Toyota truck, Nissan Patrol, Nissan car, Range Rover, Volvo, Boat, and so on.

Poll question is to long so it's been edited slightly.

This is a multiple choice poll.

Always looking for poll ideas post them HERE or send me a PM

I've had two Mercedes 190 diesels and an Opel record with a P4 perkins in it.

Factory, or your doing?

Never heard of a Perkins in a car.

Edit: I just Googled it and I see it was common enough.

Was factory AFAIK,was pretty gutless though, but i could run purple diesel in it,purple gas was not to be had in Holland.

Two VW's (1998 and 2002) and one Buick LeSabre (1981) for me. Sad to say, but since I couldn't vote twice for VW, the Buick counted equally, ironically 8 cylinders equal 8 cylinders, eh? Lol.

p.s. I think previous pickups should count b4 tractors, but if u were counting garden tractors... I used to have an Allis-Chalmers 920 that was powered by a Lambordini 2 cylinder air cooled Diesel!!!

Speaking of Perkins. Dodge toyed with diesels in pickups some before the Cummins. They put the Perkins 6.354 six in in a few in the early 80's. Seen one, was sure it was a conversion but no the owner said his dad bought it that way off a logging company, it was the bosses pickup.

as of right now, I have to answer "None. My p/u or suv is it."

hopefully after a while, I can later answer: "Olds 350 diesel powered cars (Olds,Chevy,Cad,Buick, ect)" IDK why, but I want one of those! :)

No cars/trucks/SUV's, but we have the Freightliner w/ the M11 Cummins, International 1066 Hydro, 1486, 826, John Deere 2030, An Allis Chalmers diesel on our Generator at home, a Cat V8 diesel on a generator at our other hog farm, etc.

I drove an early 80s rabbit diesel for a bit about 15 years ago. Got something like 60 mpg but zero to 60 was about 5 minutes, 3 minutes if going downhill and never if uphill..:hihi: Luckily most of the hills around here don't continue too far.

I rode in a 1980 Oldsmobile diesel station wagon as a kid. My father's first new car. He special ordered it. He says he liked it with the exception of rebuilding the IP every 30k miles. Did it himself though. Said those old ones just needed new o-rings/seals every so often. Dealer wanted over a grand to put a $50 kit in.:???:

Drive a 2002 F250 superduty pulling a 25' enclosed for work half way across the country several times a year. It's not mine, I just have to take care of it like it is mine.

VW Diesel Rabbit Pick up 1600 cc na 55 mpg. Wish I had it today
198? Olds Cutlass Fastback w/4.6 v8 Diesel based on the 350 Blew up 2 wks after I sold it. Had a Racor fuel filter
1985 Volvo 745 Wagon. 2.8L straight 6 diesel, avg 30+ mpg for 312K mi and sold it. Original turbo was still spooling up
1986 Suburban 2WD 6.2 na, it was a runner
1988 Suburban 4X4 6.2 na Diesel, 200K+ mi still running 5 yrs after I sild it
1998 Suburban 4X4, Southern Comfort conversion, 6.5 turbo, 20 psi boost, gear drive cam, Charged Air Cooler, TD offset at -1.94 (Oh did it rattle when cold), 4L80E trans with Transgo kit, 4:10 gears, FSD Cooler, still a real dog compared to my LBZ
2006 Jetta TDI, RocketChip 1+ tune, DSG, 40 mpg/70 mph, 2nd Grocery Hook
