Predator and Cold Weather

We have some DAMN cold winters where I live and I found I can't use my Predator when the temps are below about -20C (-4F)

Dec, Jan, Feb, it's not uncommon for the temp stay around -30C to -40C (-22F to -40F) so it's a good chunk of the year for me.

I find cold starts are worse with the Pred than with a stock tune. And it runs REALLY bad until it's fully warmed up.
Even after a full warm up, it's unbelievably hard on fuel.
I had it on 65 pulling a 4-place snowmobile trailer with only 2 machines on it, which would have totalled only about 3000lbs or so. The temp was about -38C and I had about 1300kms (800 mi) to go. I went about 100kms (60 mi) and burnt about 1/4 tank.
I stopped, put it down to 40, and only saw a small improvement. I knocked down to stock and it was like a new truck again.

Anyone else have cold weather trouble with tuning? Can I get a cold weather tune for my Pred? Is there a better tuner for cold weather?

Remember though that these programmers, no matter the brand, all add fuel and timing. Sometimes I thought that any of the tunes arent real good for a cold truck starting in sub zero temps. The stock tune adds timing when its cold anyways, which is why they're generally louder when you first crank them up...Programmers add more timing on top of that which increases the rattle.

Also, have you tried to download the latest update from Diablo Sport's website? They might have a fix for that with the latest software release.

I have noticed my truck doesn't care for the cold either. Well I guess I don't get anywhere near the cold you guys get(20 below holey crap!) 40 is cold here!

x2 on the advanced timing comment that Unit453 spoke of, especially on the higher tunes. I hated the way that my Predator sounded on cold startups in the winter, and we rarely got below zero degrees F. I ran my PPE on the 90 hp tune this past winter, and it did not seem to have quite as much timing added as the Predator did.
