Is this truck worth 18,500$

I have tried. Could not find any Dodges with that low mileage. 67k is nothing for a Cummins.

I guess think about this as well is it worth it to pay the premium for a truck with 67k over a cummins with 120k? Especially knowing that chances are the motor will last longer than the truck?

But for what your willing to pay have you looked at the 03+ Common rails, that'd be number 1 choice for a Dodge that was going to be a DD and needed to be reliable. The interiors and quality are alot nicer on them as well, should be in similar price range, I've seen them with 100,XXX or so at around $15-18k nicely option quad cabs.

Another thing to consider what is the range your willing to travel to get a vehicle? Your really limiting your option if say you limit your search to 50 or 100 miles. I had to drive 6 hours 1 way to get my truck 2 states over, but the alternative was paying $6k more for a truck. It was definetely, in my best interest to open up my search.

Best of luck and I hope you get a good deal and the truck you want.

I actually took a 2005 home from the dealer last night. I didn't like it. It rode much harder and 2002 was the last year of the suicide doors. The 2002 rode much nicer that the 2005. Basically I like the old bodystyle better. it looks easier to work on. The truck books out at 16500. He's throwing in a brake controller installed. Travelling 4-6 hrs for a truck I just can't do right now. I went up to 150 miles and nothing. I mean I figure I could be paying 1500$ too much for it max which is not horrible. My wife drove both truck(2005 and 2002) she hated the 2005. The other thing is this truck has an 8ft bed. That is a huge plus. it was one owner and appears to be babied. I pretty much decided I want to go with the Dodge. I actually did a search on autotrader for any distance and anything comparable to this truck was in the same price range. Yes there were some 100k mile trucks but they were not going a whole lot cheaper and I'd rather have as close to new as possible.

probably a decent truck Kenny...looks real sweet.

I just worry about buying a truck from an RV dealer...that tells me it has towed heavy a good part of it's life...

From what I can tell it has never had a brake controller. No signs of a 5th wheel. I don't think it did. He sells alot of high end diesel trucks. Alot of them he just buys and resells. He has a pretty good rep, but he gets his price. I know I'm not getting any deal, that's for sure but just want to ake sure I'm not getting raped. My wife said she loved the truck and she drove a 2005 last night and hated it.

i guess its an ok price. theres an 01 down here with 150,000, and they want $7900 for it. my wife wont drive a dually or it would be in my driveway already.

Heck, if you like it, just go and buy it. If you miss it, you'll be thinking about it when you look for others.

IMO Quad longbeds aren't the easiest things to find, especially with 67K on the clock.

I agree. In less somethin goes wrong in the next few hours, It will be mine.

Kenny, let me be the first to congratulate you on your new truck. I know you can't resist. ):h

That's not a "bad" price, but I'd be trying to work him closer to $15 - 16K.

The problem is finding good, low mileage 5.9's is like finding chicken teeth....nobody wants to get rid of them and when they do, they go for a premium.

well the descision is over. I bought it. My friend works for Cummins. He checked it out. It has the 56 block. He said it runs perfect. The motor so far is spotless.
