I have been trying to save some coinage and do something to the truck so I did 2 things to the truck today. First was the stiffer pedal spring. I hate it when I hit a little bump in the road that my foot burps the throttle. So I went up to the local hardware store and bought a spring, well actually 2 cause they come in 2 packs. The size is 3/4"x 2 7/16"x .110. This took all of 2 min to switch out. I took some needle nose pliers to bend the hook up a little on both the factory spring and the new, stiffer spring to help it slide into the hole at the top of the pedal housing. The bottom hook slide right on.

The second thing that I did was add the second diode to the fuse block under the under to finish the All Hi mod. I had it setup up for the fog lights + high beams but wanted more so I finished this today as well. Part number for the diode is 4004 from Radio Shack. These to also come in a pack of 2 so you can do the all lights on mod with this. This again took just a couple min. It would have taken a little less except I put one fuse in backwards so I had to switch that around.

2 springs- $4.49
2 diodes- $1.06
Total-$5.55 and about 10 min worth of work.

i did the spring in the pedal also and its definately stiffer. got to figure out how to do the headlight mod i also want that. i also have 1 extra spring for sale! best offer. lol

I did the all on mod myself. I'm going to do a write up for that. Don't think we have one here yet. :)

Sounds like you have 2 "How To" arcticles to write. Good productive day.

Yeah I could go ahead and do a couple write ups if people would like. I'm sure it will be helpful. I do have a couple pics but I don't think they are really clear. I'll do that tonight.

Definatly!

Anything to help the fellow members out. :)

I love all of these little things that can be done. Its nice when you wanna do something but dont have the coin.

i would do the all headlight mod but in my area people get bitchy about the lights being too bright. so for now i just stick to the basics
