Exploring different ideas to put an nv4500 in my cucv. Problem with the chevy one is the transfer case front DS is on the left side. Dodge NV4500 with NP205 case is n the right side meaning it should line right up.

From what I know..............

On the input side the only diff between Dodge and GM is the input shaft. and of course the bellhousings, but the trans bolt pattern is the same.

As for the output end I am not sure IIRC the input side of the transfer cases are all the same but again Not 100%.

found out some info, it appears they are all the same front bolt pattern, so different input shafts and bellhousings, and the tailhousings I have gathered bolt on the case in the same spots, but the shafts and actual tailhousings differ. also remember that there is NV4500 LD (all GM, v8 dodge) and NV4500HD (dodge v10 and cummins) I am unfamilliar with the HD, so not much knowledge there.

Driveshafts I don't care about. They can be fabbed easily. I plan on using the Dodge TC so no issue there. Would a different front input shaft mean I would have to change that or just use a Dodge clutch disk ? I suppose length of the shaft would matter too.

Dodge shafts are stouter and longer, plus the throwout bearing and saft are completely different than GM. Check out transparts warehouse they have a pretty good breakdown on them last I checked.
