As many of you know a few months ago I installed the ATT turbo on my truck and at the same time I installed WMI and I did new marine injectors and glowplugs. My question is: after I did the new injectors and glow plugs the truck started on like half a crank everytime, cold or hot, and the haze out of the exhuast was gone also, so I was way happy that I did the injectors cause they were way way overdue; even the idle was better. I swapped the glow plugs out and the old ones(60Gs) looked practically new, but I swapped them anyway cause I was there, even though I had no problem with them. Anyway the truck has been great all summer but about three weeks ago the truck would puff a little white smoke at start up and then quickly clear out, cold start or even with the truck warm. Then another week or so went by and it was requiring me to crank the truck longer to start it and then it would puff quite a bit of smoke out then clear up. And now (about three weeks since it has started) I went out today to start it, it hasn't run for two days(usually no big deal for even weeks at a time) and I turned the key and had to crank for about three seconds and then if fired and was blowing lots of white smoke and then died after about two seconds of running. So I cycled the glows again and fired it up and it cranked again for a few seconds and fired up and it took about 10-15 seconds for the white smoke to clear out. It sounded like some cylinders were not firing and then as they fired the smoke would clear up more each time. SO what am I up against?? Are my injectors crap already after only a couple months, or is it the glow plugs? I didn't have this much trouble starting the truck last winter at ten below, and it is summer here and still 80 degrees!!! I bought the injectors and glow plugs from accurate diesel, they were medallion injectors and there own glowplugs. What do you guys think?

Well, I can't tell much about the medallion's products as I don't know them, and I know Tim as a trustable seller.
Though, I can say I trust only BOSCH or Delphi for injectors, and ACDelco 60G's for glow plugs...

Like you described, I would vote for glow plug issue, but it's just a bet...

I would suspect your WMI may be dripping into the intake then some water is getting in and causing the delay startup and the white smoke.

Try removing the water lines from the nozzles for a week or so and see if that helps. At least gets rid of the white smoke.

Thats a great idea buddy, I will try that it hadn't even crossed my mind. I sure hope thats it cause I don't want to deal with the injectors or glow plugs again so soon!!

IIRC, Accurate sells WAP GP, unfortunately you are swapping the good 60G (better quality) to WAP. My suggestion also to test the GP.

Air in the system
Lift pump not woring
Filter needs attention.

Change the filter first

Check to make sure the lift pump is working during cranking as well as run time.

A small airleak that allows drain back can also cause these symptoms.

My bet is a failed lift pump or a failed Oil Pressure switch.
