Which thermostat?

I have searched and there is a lot of conflicting information.

I have the high output serpentine water pump and the stock single thermostat crossover. I want the 195 degree. Which thermostat should I use on my 6.2L?

Part #?

Is it the RS 354? Hopefully something from either Napa (local) or Summit (will be placing a large order) to save on having to pay extra shipping.

thanks!

Use the AC or search the threads. There is a thread that has the thermostat that I use & have very good luck with. Additionally in the same thread there is at least one other good single stat listed.
Skip the store brands unless you like having issues and changing thermostats.

I did do a search and have come up confused. Link to the post you speak of?

I have gained some understanding of what my real question is, Do I need the stat with by-pass spring loaded valve or the stat with-out the by-pass spring loaded valve?

I have had good luck with this thermostat for the single thermostat housing
I ordered a 195 degree high flow Stewart thernostat part number 306 for the 1989 GMC 6.5 diesel

I think the t-stat crossover that I have on there and plan on using will not work with the '94 serp setup. The outlet interferes with the alt/idler pulley bracket. I am guessing I need the single stat crossover from a serp setup 6.x.
