What is it? The diesel suddenly knocks!

If that was me, I'd reuse the block, just deburr that area, new crank and 2 new rods, pistons, new oil pump. I would take it out though and have it hot tanked due to all the metal floating around.
 
I might get it for this but grooves look like 15 over ,,,,measure the make sure....if so cut block 30 over.....2 adjacent cylinders relieve unbalance...drop in 30 pistons ,new bearing {crank} and locktite nuts ...drive till it dies
