Yeah - I just sent'im a note stating the wg in the adaptor fits the GM-3 and -4 turbos - the wastegate flapper-valve for the -5 and -8 turbos is in the exhaust elbow, making for improved exhaust gas flow - only difference in the -5 and -8 is increased wg actuator shaft\bearing length in the -8, due to early failures in the short-shaft -5 assemblies - can upgrade a -5 to -8 simply by bolting on the direct-fit -8 exh elbow
