Comparing to my Tahoe my new Dodge is a bit of a dog from a dead stand still. Both trucks running same gears although Dodge is probably a little heavier. Just wondering is that normal or should I be looking for a problem. When I punch the 6.5 it will throw you in the seat from a dead stand still. The Dodge feels like it needs a little kick in the a$$. ON the highway especially towing the Dodge has nice consistent power but no SOP off the line.

My dodge was a slug till the turbo built boost. Then I had to hold on. It was a night and day difference after the exhaust, intake, and edge.

It's not your turbo and it's not the engine......

The problem is the OEM torque management program. It kills your low end response.

The stock tuning has a HUGE delay programmed into it. From a dead pedal, there is almost a 20 second delay until you actually have full rated power. This is due to the derate to protect the driveline (torque management) and it SUCKS!

While something like the Edge does help, the only way to really get rid of the torque management program is a true tuner.

Something like a Smarty that has the ability to turn the TQM down or eliminate it completely is the way to do it.

You be surprised how powerful the truck is, with only a 30HP tune but with all the TQM turned off. It feels like a rocket.

I let my buddy use my Smarty on the lowest tune possible (30 HP) but I turned off the TQM and he was lighting the tires as he left the driveway.

It really is nice and day when the engine actually produces the power that it has when you want it.

Can you link the smarty ? I want to read up on that. I'm not looking for alot of power but I mean even when you go to jump into an intersection the truck feels like it doesn't want to go for a sec. Are the programs pre set or do you have to tune it yourself ?
