I've been hearing rumblings that tunercat OBDII now supports the 6.5 TD along with the 6.6 dmax.

Appareantly, Westers is offering the definition files for 99 bucks!

Here's a post I ran across on FSC by Pauly:

Tunercat OBD2 support for the 6.5 and Duramax 6.6TD trucks

Wester's Garage is now offering VDF's(Vehicle Definition Files) for the 6.5TD and 6.6L Duramx TD trucks.

They are $99.99.

I'm just starting to dig into it, anyone else hear this?

Oh please please please let it be true! (and affordable)

Fingers crossed...

Oh good god!

I downloaded the demo version of Jet Diesel Dynamic Spectrum tuner (AKA tunercat) and started browsing through it.

I'm almost giddy....even if it's a sample for the 6.6.

Please oh please let the 6.5 VDF file work with it.

I've got inquiries out now.......

It may be available, but you also need the hardware to hook up straight to the PCM or through OBD2 port I suppose. And I do not have total faith in the definitions you buy. So tweaking with improperly labeled or defined table becomes sketchy. But the people that do it aftermarket for you are probably using the same set, and may explain some of the disappointments I see in them.

I've got the hardware, need the interface software.

Also need the initial definition files to start from.

On the hunt for a used tunercats OBDII program now.....
