Unless you have a hydraulic press-style tool, you can't use a hand flaring tool on stainless steel tubing to put a single, let alone a double, flare on the end.

My local carquest stocks premade brake line in nicopp. It bends really easy and is virtually rust free. If you can find one the length you need just bend it by hand.

I forgot about the nicopp line. that stuff is easy to work with and you can use a hand flaring tool on it.

It's starting to get better here. I think it's more of a supply thing now, what ever is on the truck that day is it. makes folks panic when they walk into the isle and see lots missing then the following day that gets filled but the other isle is empty! kids wanted ice cream floats tonight. went to the HEB grocery and they had everything but root beer! I finally found some of the HEB brand (generic) that was good enough for me, but it was all they had left! seems like everything is a hit or miss lately.
