Hey guys, now im finally getting around to doing this, i cant get the stupid link to work that chris1500 posted a while back in one of his threads. Does anyone know of any other threads that show where to splice the wire in by the t-case? Thanks!

I bought the Posi-Lok kit Big T had for sale. Thanks Big T!!!!! I installed it Monday evening (by flashlight for most of it, no garage). We have been having a "cold snap". It's been down into the mid to low 20's at night and I was concerned about the possible ice we might be facing when the usual rain returned. It drizzled some today and no ice. Whew!!! I've seen some pretty nasty ice storms around here over the years.

I did finish the cable routing the next morning when I had daylight to see by. I didn't have to drill a hole in the firewall. I found a plastic plug in the perfect location and popped it out. The hole turned out to be square, but it was the perfect size for the rubber grommet which completely covered even the square corners of the hole.

This hunting season was my first experience with this thermal system, pfffftttt!!! I'm used to the old style TC shifting, very positive. I couldn't believe how long it took to lock in. Then when I read about how sometimes it would de-activate if a lot of snow happened to pack in around it that was enough for me. When I need 4 wheel drive I need something I can depend on.

Well, it is now a very positive lock.

Great! Thanks! Im waiting for the harness now, thought i could get most of it at the JY, but its all inter-twined in the harness, i found one from dorman for 38 bucks.

RockAuto sells those Dorman Actuator and harness also.

I actually got 2 actuators from the JY, so i only had to buy the harness. For the price cant go wrong, and if they dont work, its easy to replace. I could prolly get 30 from the JY instead of 1 new one.

Don, happy to hear the Posi Lok is working for you. I was so frustrated with electric actuator install that I bought the Posi Lok. I did one more change on the splice location to the brown wire at the plug behind the fuel manager and it's been fine ever since. Posi Lok wanted a 25% restocking charge and I told them to F off. I'd rather someone here put it to good use than to have Posi Lok make money on it twice. Sounds like you're putting it to good use.

Im all about the mechanical stuff, yesturday my plow out of the blue wouldnt go up, turned out to be the pin in the linkage to the valve slipped out, popped it back in and off i went. But so far i have about 50 bucks into this setup..
