More stupid stuff?
Valve rocker issue that ripped a hole in the valve cover along with electrical issues on my 6.5 powered motorhome on day 2 of a 3 week vacation. Abandon it in Lincoln and continue onward with my tow vehicle. 2 hours into a 5 day rim to rim backpacking trip in the Grand Canyon, I break my leg, ending the vacation. Return home with the motorhome being towed 400 miles, plug it in ( because we have our bathroom all tore apart for remodeling and need the motorhome to use for a back up bath facility) and the transfer switch is buzzing needs replacement (worked fine all the while it was plugged in at the Lincoln campground). Another $200!
This is the hottest and most humid week of the year (90s with humidity of 60+%) with a heat index of 95-105. Two days ago my house AC went out and we are waiting for a new compressor to arrive, then it has to be installed.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, a week and a half before we left on our adventure, my wife broke her glasses. They were un repairable and she needed to order new ones that just got here yesterday. A week before we left the water pump went out on her car. That needed to be fixed right away for work and other pre trip errands. Also when we first took off on our adventure, the cab air didn't work (worked fine the last time I used it) on the motorhome, so I just started the generator and fired up the roof air. We made it about 40 miles when I realized that I forgot the backcountry permit that's required for us to be in the canyon overnight. Well, that put an extra 120 miles on our journey, which now we were 8 hrs behind the scheduled leave time.
Today is a new day and we'll see what that brings?
And, to date, still no refund from Walt for my defective injectors.
