finally, after taking a back seat to every little thing, or expense ,my first diesel/dually project is rolling.you guys are truly the best source for knowledge around i followed every bit of advise you guys gave me to the t, and when i tried to fire it up,(after pre priming every thing)she fired after 6 or 8 revolutions!i was amazed!no codes, great oil press and smoother than any gasser ive ever built.i do have one question though. my temp gauge starts @160 i put dual thermostats.130gpm pump, duramax fan, all the recommended up grades, and although i havent driven it far, or towed with it the gauge never moves.question is, could it be running that cool or is there a way to test the gauge?im thinking that it would go to 185 @ least til the thermos opened and maybe then come down. whaddya think?i know you guys know. thanks for this, and all the help youve given me in the last year. YOU ROCK!

That is truly a great feeling hearing something roar to life at that moment! Congrads on yr accomplishment.

The cooling system might have a little air trapped in it still & might need an additional burp at the bleeder on the T stat housing after ya run it some.

What size & brand T stats did you install?

turns out the sensor was bad . thing runs like a top 50 lbs of oil press 180 water temp, couldnt be happier. e prom next. thanks again for all the help happy 4th. GOD bless all veterans past present and future
