If ya'll didn't know i was in a front end collision about 1month ago (my avatar pic is before the wreck) needless to say i needed a front bumper, pass fender, radiator, oil cooler, grill, and parklights...My buddy called me up today and told me he had a grill, fender, and bumper and said i could have all for 100 so i jumped on it. I also replaced the oil cooler with a b&m performance cooler and a new radiator...I was installing the parts and got a call from my friend saying he also has an intercooler brand new for 100 bucks should i jump on this? also buying a new lift pump and going to throw it on before friday. any other suggestions to look at for a tune up to make the ole girl be at her peak at the show? I have replaced the glow plugs, injectors, i have a homemade turbo master, homemade feed the beast, thinking about a new air intake...i have a 2 1/2 in crossover with a 3in downpipe into a 5in straight pipe that runs into a 7in stack...i have a boost gauge thats showing about 12max boost anyone think i should set to about 15 for this weekend? I have also cleaned all the grounds replaced the fuel filter/water seperator...ssooo im waiting for ideas guys buddy pmd me about a custom chip but i dont think i'll have the cash to run it

Hmm. :not_kosher:

Regarding your question about boost, right now you probably can't use more than 12 psi... after you pack in enough air to properly burn the available fuel, turning the boost higher actually wastes power and gets you nothing but higher IATs and EGTs.

Did you pull your AC cooler out completely? If so, you can probably get away with an in-front intercooler.. if not, then you need to 'hang' an ATA intercooler.

It will be alot of work to get an inner cooler in by friday. As said there is alot of relocating that goes on for that.

Relocate oil coolers and trans cooler if equiped and run a elect fan to them. Then, IMO, move the rad about 1/2" from the fan, and squeeze the AC condensor as close to that as possible. Even then you will have to trim the back side of the grill out or cut it all out and do a billet grill insert. When moving the Rad supports it will likely mean removing the hood latch and using hood pins.
