She ain't revved 'til the rods are thrown...
I'm replacing the original GP harness on my '93 Cheyenne, and have some questions about removing the factory one as it is hardwired in to some other spots I was not aware of.
Specifically, on the driver's side, the hot lead from the GP side of the relay (passenger side terminal of the relay) runs along the driver side and splices into the 4 GP connectors. However, at this same splice, there is a smaller orange and blue wire also spliced in as show in the picture

The smaller orange wire runs back to the GP relay, where it is connected through what I think is a fusible link (big plastic piece) and connects to the black wire on the GP connector, third from the driver side when looking from the front of the engine

The blue wire travels all the way across the firewall in the main engine harness and terminates on the passenger side bulkhead fitting under the evaporator/ accumulator

So, what do I do with these wires? Instinct says to just cut the crimps that went to the glow plugs and put the factory ring terminal back over the two new glow plug leads. It seems that the relay side of the GP relay is sending power back to the GP 4 wire connector and sending power via the blue wire back to the cab, maybe this powers the wait to start light on the dash? The instructions for the new harness I got didn't say anything about these factory wires, just said to completely remove old harness before installing the new one.
If anyone knows what the wires in question do I'd greatly appreciate the insight so I can ensure nothing gets messed up as a result of this install.
