Nothing special. Relocated my pyrometer from my downpipe to my manifold. It is right in the elbow next to the back drivers side piston right before it connects to the crossover. EGT's are much less than I had thought. It is a nice place for it. Still very easily accessible. I was going to put it right before the turbo in that up-piece of the pipe but didn't have enough length. It fits nice where is and is still very easy to get out. Where are people putting theirs?

And I know about not letting shavings fall into the exhaust. I drilled the hole and tapped it with the motor off, then took off my AFE and had a buddy of mine hold the compressor wheel nut with a ratchet, extension, and socket to keep it from moving and fired the motor up and let it run for a few then brought it up to about 3000rpm for 15-20 seconds. Hasn't had a problem yet. I think I got it all out.

Mine is under the turbo. I always thought the starboard side was better because it enabled the probe to read the output from both sides of the engine?
