Can I use my PPE programmer to get the DTC's and PIDS out of another duramax or will it only work for the truck that the tune is in?

I'm pretty positive it will clear the and read the DTC's. Not sure about the PID's.
 
I guess what I want to know is, will the scan function of my PPE programmer work on other duramaxes even if they were not tuned with that programmer?

It will clear DTCs on ANY OBDII vehicle.

This means hondas, VWs fords dodges Mercedes etc. etc. OBDII was implemented around 1995.

Keep in mind that each code is slightly different for every manufacturer.
