PKSX is unique powdered lubricant. Designed to treat surfaces that either cannot be coated with a liquid lubricant such as TECH LINE COATINGS, INC’S TLML or for parts that cannot be baked. Compatible with petroleum based and synthetic oils PKSX can be bonded to most any substrate including all metals, many plastic and rubbers. In addition PKSX can be applied over bonded lubricants to increase surface lubrication. Excellent for use on Cylinder Walls and similar items.
PKSX has good resistance to most liquids utilized as supplemental sources of lubrication such as engine oils and greases. However solvents such as alcohol can remove PKSX. PKSX does not impart any corrosion resistance to the coated surface. Its primary function is as a lubricant.
PKSX bonds at a thickness approaching 20 millionths of an inch, and requires no clearance changes. PKSX reacts very much like a liquid while in a powdered state. It has good fluid retention characteristics when used in conjunction with other lubricating fluids. PKSX requires no baking or curing action. A bond is formed between the PKSX particles and the surface when pressure is applied through a buffing action. Increased pressure and speed determine the strength of the bond. Color changes can occur depending on the substrate and the application method. Colors will run from a light yellow to a rhodium blue.
