Portable Compressors for Air bags

I just had a set of air lift bags installed and want to get a portable compressor to adjust the bags and my tires.

Any suggestions from those that have experience with these units as to what worked well (especially for tires)?
 
i think harbor freight makes one that plugs into the cig lighter and has a handle on it. otherwise you can get a viaair and just put some batt clips on the ends.
 
Are you looking for a hard-mount one that is single purpose for the Airbags or do you want a portable unit you can plug in when needed?

I got the on board air compressor with the air lift bags........that way, it came with the lifetime warranty. We wired it so I can also air up small tires(low volume/pressure) like ATV and dirt bikes.

That is what I was originally going to do, but when I drive out onto the beach I have to drop the tire pressure to help avoid sinking in the soft sand and I don't want to drive on them till I find an air station. So I decided I would just get a portable unit.
 
Here is what I have. I keep it in the storage compartment under the back seat. I bought it at Sears.

They claim that it can pump up to 300 psi. I don't know how long it would take for that much pressure. It will not set the world on fire for speed, but for a normal truck tire, it has worked well for me.

I've used it a couple of times and although it is slow to fill a truck tire, you set the desired pressure in the gage dial and it will automatically shut off when that pressure is reached. So you can go about your business while the tire is filling.
 
I have the "high volume" 12V unit from Harbor Freight (about $45 on sale). I was impressed with its volume (I routinely air down all 4 rear tires to 28 psi on the dragstrip, then need to inflate to 80 psi for the trip home). However, it tends to reach its thermal cutout point quickly, so it still takes a while in warm weather. So far it has still been the fastest option for me, other than firing up my Honda EU2000i and using a real air compressor.

I am about to add air bags to the truck, so I'll be using it much more for that function. I thought about rigging up a better heat sink and even a cooling fan for it (and mounting it to the truck semi-permanently), but that will have to wait for another rainy day.

I purchased a Superflow MV50, it's hard to beat for the price. Plus it comes with heavy duty alligator clips that clip directly to the battery posts and not some cheesy cig adapter...:)
