What about Fleetguard? I have one installed on a 6.5 N/A engine that I thought would be a good choice for an oil filter to run.

I run wix on everything for better or worse. Made in NC USA.
51060 on the '93... Does the job. I even use the Mobil 1 syn. 5w40. Still gets black coal after a while as I don't have bypass filtering or tandem filters or other fancy stuff.

I DO have bypass filtering and tandem filters and guess what? Still black as coal after a couple hundred miles.

Good diesel oil should go black which means it does its job of suspending the soot.

^^Makes sense. Dirty oil sooner probably means it's a better detergent also..
