Howdy all. New here and new to diesel light trucks. Found a GMC in need of some engine work but otherwise a really clean truck. Couldn't pass up the deal- and I needed a better towing rig than what I currently use.

The truck is in good hands now. :D

Pics below. I need to get over to the engine forum... the 6.5TD has the sniffles.

Welcome to DTR!

It is great to see a fellow 93 6.5TD driver. This is the best year for the 6.5TD. You will find a lot of great information on your 6.5TD here along with a bunch of great vendors.

3500GMC, Welcome to DTR. You are in the right place to get your rig running correctly again. We have the BEST group of 6.5 guys on the web to help you!!!!!

Thanks for the welcomes! I DO appreciate it. When reading some threads before I signed up (there are a bunch) I found most everybody to be knowledgeable and polite. That's the ingredients for a good forum/BB in my opinion.

I own 4 other Chevrolet trucks and all are older ones in some sort of 'project state' so it keeps be busy. Let's see, a '65, '74, '84, '86 and now the '93 GMC. Eventually I will own and drive one from each generation. Wish me luck!

Is there any way to post a short video or do people use 'youtube' to host them? A picture is worth a thousand words, in this case a video will help diagnose my problem(s).

YouTube

Yes just use youtube for video upload, then put a link to it here in another thread.

GMC I'm up between Youngstown and Cleveland. I spent quite a few weekends done your way for a little bit, girlfriend from high school went to Muskingum College, that was a while a go. We once even drove up to Dillen Lake dam. Nice Area. Lots of white tail.

10-4 on the Dillon Lake Dam. My property borders Dillon wildlife area. It's a nice area for sure. Lots of boat ramps, camping, cabins, fishing, white tail, pheasant, grouse, turkey, you name it.
