Hey everyone, for those of you who don't know me from other forums my name is Dave. I just registered here by the suggestion of my buddy Devin (83gmck2500) after hearing about it for awhile now. I'm not on the forums as much as I have been in the past but figured I'd come see how things are around here.

Anyway, I'm 22 and in College trying to finish a double major in Architecture and Construction Management. Aside from school related things, my trucks are the joy in my life.

Here is my pride and joy, my 88 Sierra. I've had the truck for 6 years, and performed many driveterrain, interior, and cosmetic mods during those years, but it remainded stock height untill this past summer when my dad and I did a SAS on it. I suceeded my goal in the project in creating a truck that was stronger, more capable and still practical, all while making the SAS look factory and ended up with a total bill of about $4,200 (including the new wheels and tires!) It was probably the hardest 3 solid weeks of work I have ever done, but my dad and I had a blast and it was honestly the best money I have ever spent on something. I have had a blast the last 6 months driving this all over and wheeling whenever I get a chance. So far with the moderate wheeling I do I haven't stopped it, even after flooding the transmission with water (that was a bad weekend). Future plans include f/r lockers, onboard air, and a 6.5L Diesel or a 6.0L Vortec.

This is my new truck, my 02 Sierra. I bought this truck from my grandparents this summer with original intents to be a DD, but it ended up being more of a summer only rig since it only has 17k on it. Plus I enjoy having one really clean truck and one that I can do anything with. I haven't done too many mods to it yet aside from a few interior things and the 22s. Future plans include a 3/5 lowering kit, denali front clip and rollpan. And FYI this truck is a 4wd as well, but won't see anything off pavement.

I also have a 79 Silverado C10 back home with a 4/6 drop that was my first truck. It was my other grandpas that my dad and I restored before I could drive. It basically is just a nice semi-custom cruiser these days.

And here is your diesel candy.
This is my roomates truck that i also drive frequently and help maintain. It's a 95 Chevy K1500 F44 6.5L Diesel Ex Cab 4wd. He bought the truck 3 years ago with 168k and currently it has 195k. It was very very well maintained and has only had a lift pump, PMD (which is relocated now), glow plugs and alternator replaced. Everything else is stock mechanically but it will be getting full gauges and 4" exhaust here shortly. Sorry I don't have any picts of it online currently.

Man, I wish everyone did an intro like that...Great pics and welcome to the site...!

Thanks guys! I forgot to mention that when I'm out of college I'll be buying my first brand new truck, which will be a Duramax. I've thought about putting a Duramax in my 88, but thought that a 6.5L would be boht cheaper and simpler... I'm sure I'll be able to get some good ideas here.

welcome to the site. I can tell ya right now that you will find a whole load of information here with plenty of help with whatever you plan on throwing at your truck :D
