:hello:
So i've just been introduced into the world of diesels, this weekend im most likely buying a 92 k2500 6.5l reg cab longbox, 209k miles, pretty much bone stock from what i've heard, or if another deal pops i may be getting something different. none the less it will be a 6.5. As of now im basically learning about common mods/problems and what not. Pretty excited about a new big boy toy...

We will find something!! Tim you should post the pics you sent me on here. Get some other opinions.
(This is my brother btw)

Apparently the owner doesnt know much about the truck, because i told Tim to ask him about the PMD, and he said he didnt know if its ever been replaced. Obviously the truck is mechanical injection, but i wanted to see what we were dealing with.

"practically new tires, recently service trans, oil lines, no fumes or blow by, good glow plugs, power steering has a small leak (fill once a week) which should be fixed before purchase, not sure about pmd location, minimal rust under on cab. 209k miles. comes with tool box instead of the light rack, gooseneck hitch. NEEDS NOTHING" so he said.

Welcome to the site brother. I'm also from Syracuse. Dont miss shoveling my driveway anymore though.

well... still looking for a 6.5... not buying that one 6.5 that pours smoke out the dipstick tube... craigslist has some pretty retarded people sadly.

Good luck with the new truck when you do pick one out. I'm sure you'll find one that will fit you well.

And welcome to The Truck Stop! This is the best place on the web for any and all help that you will ever need on your 6.5 truck. The guys here are the best in the business.

any 6.5 that runs well and isn't a rot box is pretty much nail on the head lol... practically impossible to find in central new york (atleast for my price range 3k-4k$), and by the time i set up a time to view ones farther south they're sold in a day or two.. poor positioning id say.
