ok so i replaced my injectors about 2 weeks ago, the old ones were shot the truck idled fine and ran down the road fine but at take off it felt like it was missing a little. after replacing them it ran great no more missing at take off but now it has started again. i thought for a minute i might have air in the injector lines, or possibly one of them. it still runs way better than before the swap but not as good as the few days after the change.
 
brand of PMD, cooler, and extension harness? was the PMD new at the time of relocate, or was it pulled off the pump?

what is the OPS and PMD like?
 
sorry i should have elaborated. the pmd relocation was done before i bought the truck, im pretty sure its a black standyne and the original was left unhooked on the pump.the ops is functional as far as running the lift pump i do have good fuel pressure at the t valve. as of last night there are no codes ( did the paper clip in the interface) to check for codes. it almost feels like a gas engine with 1 plug wire off but it doesnt idle rough or run rough, just at take off. seems like when the turbo spools up it smooths out, but still just feels like somethings holding it back a bit, thats why i thought it might be air in one of the injector lines since they were apart a couple weeks ago, think i will crack em open one by one today and see if theres any change. i will verify pmd brand today, also gonna run a ground from the heat sync back to the ip. im a little foggy on the limp mode what does the engine run like? i dont think thats what im experiencing just trying to rule everything out.
 
Just checked the injectors for leaks everything looks dry. im a little stumped,at idle it runs smooth,rev up from idle nice and smooth, in drive with a little throttle and it has slight miss to it. turbo starts spooling and it smooths out. the injectors i installed were bosch remans from mylex out of mississippi. i may have an issue with them. idk
 
If that is the new parts introduced and you are certain that everything else is working properly, then the new part which is injector may be a suspect.
There are a lot of rebuilders claiming that they are using Bosch but not actually is.
I am not assuming anything on this seller unless you open up the actual injector to inspect.

How many miles have you driven the truck with new injectors? They take time to break in.

If that does not solve the issue, you may need to take the injector out and pay a local shop to pop test them.
 
thats what i was thinking. it does run a whole lot better with the new injectors, just feels like it isnt running as good as when i first swapped them. i probably only have 150 miles on them.
