where is the sensor at that triggers that light, mine came on i put fluid in it but its still on

low coolant light

Mine is on the radiator towards the top about 4 - 6 inches down on the passenger side. It is not hard to find. You probably have a bad sensor.

Mine are in the coolant overflow tank.

i have one on the coolant tank but i ve never had any wires hooked up to it or does it work some other way,what ami missing

Look for a connector that will mate to the sensor.
