Hey guys, the bulbs in my lund moonvisor have been burning out one by one and it got me thinking....it would be really nice to put some LED bulbs in there instead. I love the look of the new gms with the factory LED lights. Now a few questions as i know very little about this topic....

Any one have any reccomendations for a place to buy the LED replacement bulbs? The bulbs are 158's (the small wedge style like in lic plate lamps).

Also if there are amber bulbs available would they be better than a clear led? There are amber lenses on the visor so I would think clear would be fine correct?

Thanks for any input!

Whatever Color Lens you're putting the LED Behind, ALWAYS Order the LED in that Color.

So in your case, if you're putting it Behind an Amber Lens, Order an Amber LED.

Good to know....Thanks for the help and the website!!

Ill have to post a picture of how the lights look once I get them installed

It is.

You won't be Disappointed.

...and you're Cutting Down on Power Usage by going to LED as well.

So, i got the bulbs installed the other night. I was very impressed with the bulbs themselves and the amount of light output. For such a small bulb, they are very bright. Only downside is that with the amber light lenses, they dont look much like LED's at all. Rather, they just look like really bright amber lights. If I was able to get clear lenses for the moonvisor, i think they would look awesome. But as of now I dont believe they are available. So in all, i was very happy with the bulbs and the company. So thanks for the recomendation and the discount code! Picture is crappy, but they are alot brighter.

Glad they Worked Out for you and you Like them.

Wait til it gets Dark Out, and you See how Bright they are.

Also, if you wanna Feel Better about the Color, Throw a Halogen Bulb In, and Look at the Color Difference. You'll See that the LED has alot more of an Intense Orange Color to it.

For Clear Lenses though, they Sell Small Sheets of Plexi, Acrylic, Lexan, ect... at Home Depot in Various Thicknesses. You could Buy a Sheet of it, and Cut Out your Own Clear Lenses, and Pop them On.
