Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Removal

    <LI type=1>Remove the thermostat cover bolts. <LI type=1>Remove the thermostat cover. <LI type=1>Remove the thermostats with seals.

    <LI type=1>Remove the heater pipe to thermostat housing bolt. <LI type=1>Remove the heater pipe. <LI type=1>Remove the heater pipe O-ring and discard. <LI type=1>Remove the fuel pipe to thermostat housing bracket bolt.

    <LI type=1>Remove the thermostat housing bolts and nuts from the left cylinder head. <LI type=1>Remove the thermostat housing bolts and nuts from the right cylinder head. <LI type=1>Remove the bypass pipe to water pump bolts. <LI type=1>Loosen hose clamp and remove the turbocharger coolant outlet hose from the bypass pipe. <LI type=1>Remove the thermostat housing with the bypass pipe. <LI type=1>Remove the bypass pipe to water pump O-ring and discard.

    <LI type=1>Remove the bypass pipe from the thermostat housing. <LI type=1>Remove the O-ring from the bypass pipe and discard.

    <LI type=1>Remove the turbocharger coolant outlet pipe bracket bolts. <LI type=1>Remove the turbocharger coolant outlet pipe.

    <LI type=1>Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector. <LI type=1>Remove the ground bolt from the left side of the block.
  2. Remove the oil level sensor harness.
