I have a new 2009 Chevy Crew Cab with the Duramax Diesel engine. I will be using the truck to go on an Elk hunt in Northern New Mexico at about 11,000 feet above sea level. I know i will be sucking wind but i am wondering if i have to worry about the truck giving me trouble. My brother went last year with a friend that had an older diesel truck and he had lots of problems. They all went away when he came down. But then again that is hear say. It seems to me that the computer would compensate for lack of oxygen but it sure would be nice to know up front.
Thanks for any information you may have.

I think you shouldn't have a problem.

For instance, the computer has a lot of tables that adjust parameters for these situations. EFI Live has the tables that you can modify, that's how I know. :D
