Headed to Colorado for the weekend, im stationed in South Dakota, what are things I should look out for/do before I head out? (1985 6.2, 4L60E)

Most important is a thorough check of fluid levels before leaving home.
A good hundred mile shakedown runn in and another recheck of fluids then have a wonderful and worry free journey.
That is one sweet looking truck.
If it breaks on You beyond repair, You talk to Me. I’d be happy to haul over the big trailer and bring that one home.

Thankfully ive changed the oil today, though i used synthetic Rotella T6 as opposed to the T4 i normally use and its been gushing it out ever since (that and my friend just HAD to overfilled it by half a quart, I suspect the crankshaft seal is now leaking)

and LMAO, the amount of times people have told me that, much appreciated, I hope it does well on that drive
