ok there is the deal I bought a 95 td 6.5 suburban blown up did the 6.2 lower end and heads and put all the 6.5 stuff on turbo, injector pump, injectors, never timed, bam started right up ran like a dream, so months later I lose the clutch fan and it over heats cracks head so I take good used set of 6.5 heads and regasket at same time I bought a new in package delphi injectors on ebay for 100$ good deal right? then after head job I get this hesitation on starting and some white smoke on start so I buy a remaned injection pump from pensicola deisel install no differance, so I deal with this by running a bypass switch on the tempture sensor so it thinks its cold and to boot I get a high idle on warm up so two months go by still scratching my head oil cooler line blows and motor seizes so I buy a donner truck 93 with manual injection pump and pull motor, and put all my stuff from electronic 6.5 on it, crank sensor, injectors and injector pump now I have the same stumble on start up and I put a clear line on return and after it shuts off I see two tinny bubbles crawl up into the arch of tube so my question being what the hell? Is a injector not shutting down and allowing the air back? the problem started with the injectors being replaced at time of head job and now its still there I replaced fuel lines from lift pump to filter as well as return when i stabbed this last motor all new hoses, but used injector bypass hoses again used the best of the two motors. Any Ideas Guys??????????

From what I've heard it's normal to have an air bubble at the top of the return line.

Do you still have the old injectors to try and see if the smoke clears up, Delphi is supposed to be a good brand but who knows.

I have injectors from donner motor but odometer had 240,000 and no knolage of engine other than it ran good lots of blow by but strong runner, makes me want to buy a set of bosch and take a chance I'm confused the Delphi seemed to have good name on what I could find on Internet and they were still in original package so thought they were good buy but never had this stumble on the original gunk yard round up of used parts it never ran better, it was a best of three motors combo now I'm confused

injectors were rebuilt. check online about seller. how many complaints?

Air in the IP return is usually caused by a leak between the fuel level in the tank and the LP.

Hard starting with air is usually a leak at the filter manager from the WIF sensor or fuel heater O-rings or filter cap O-ring,fuel leaks out when engine is shut down and air takes it's place.

If air was entering from a stuck open injector it would be a steady bunch of bubbles that would come in time with that cylinder in my thought process.

More likely that something was disturbed in the filter manager during all the work done.
