GMT400 ECM Internals

Looking for information about the GMT400's ECM guts, specifically:

> what is the OS / program language,
> what is type / amount of addressable storage (and / or memory), and
> what is the CPU?

Has anybody built an emulator which is able to virtualize the ECM and vehicle within a PC / Mac?

For the GMT800 folks looking at this thread, will ask the same questions in a new thread sometime soon, but at the moment I want to understand one box at a time.
