Just wondering but can you do damage to the plugs or the motor if you crank your truck over before the plugs have cycled. I know this will result in poor starting in cold weather but what about the warmer months?

no, it will not hurt them. based on ambient temp the glow plugs stay on for a predetermined amount of time after the light goes out and the engine is running. so cranking will not hurt anything

Thanks. Something that I've always wondered about. The cycle time on an lb7 is horriable compared to the lly. I don't think that you could beat the light on the lly, on mine I could get out and walk around the truck, darn near, and be ready to crank. Not a big deal just inconvianant.

If there is an issue, they carry a special policy just like the injectors. Except for they are 200k 10yrs instead of 7.
