Nevada, right now. Alaska is home.
I've got specific questions that I can't afford to "field test" myself right now.

What's the hourly fuel consumption of a LB7 at idle, 1200 rpm high idle, and 1800 rpm high idle?

Thinking of things and plans and it'd be nice to have numbers to work with.

If each injector uses 8.7 cubic millimeters (mm3) of diesel per revolution (and I am making an edjumacated guess):

8.7mm3 per injector x 4 injectors firing per revolution = 34.8mm3 per revolution

x 650 rpm idle

= 22,620mm3 per minute

x 60 minutes

= 1,357,200mm3 per hour, or .358 gallons per hour

8.7mm3 per injector x 4 injectors firing per revolution = 34.8mm3 per revolution

x 1200 rpm idle

= 41,760mm3 per minute

x 60 minutes

= 2,505,600mm3 per hour, or .662 gallons per hour

8.7mm3 per injector x 4 injectors firing per revolution = 34.8mm3 per revolution

x 1800 rpm idle

= 62,640mm3 per minute

x 60 minutes

= 3,758,400mm3 per hour, or .993 gallons per hour

Quality of diesel may affect these numbers, but it gives you a general idea.

Ive always been told around .4 gallons per hour, so Buds calculations would be correct.
