Front Axle Snapped on my Cub Cadet 129...Rescued by my 149

Was spreading ant killer on my lawn and all of a sudden snap. Luckily parts are pretty available on ebay. Got 2 on the way(figure I should have a spare...) I took a hitch from my truck and slid it over the tail on the other cub for the 3 point hitch. Then I lifted the front of the other cub and towed it in.

Had that experience a couple of times on my JD318 over the years so it's not just a Cub thing...;)
 
Probably the same FA. Almost all the IH Cub wide frames used the same axle. I was stupid. I bougght two off ebay without looking on CL. There is a guy parting out a 129 right in my town. Duh...
 
OK, I'm lost. For the learning disabled...(me) explain...:rof:
I have seen them welded but IMHO it's not worth the effort. I'd rather just change it.
