Farming Vids

Here's my first youtube video. Just finished (ok it needs a little more editing) it last night. It's a time lapse from march to this december of the sweetcorn patch and (much later planted) seed corn around it.

Here's the address if you want to watch it in full screen w/ high quality:::: youtube.com /watch?v=9p0S2hZ_iy4 ((just remove the space after.com))

Yea and he didn't set it up very good apparently. It was barely filling in the furrow. Making more of a mess than anything.

um my guess would be hes plowing then going to disk the disking will smooth every out..

Here's dad planting some corn. We're planting sweetcorn right next to grandpas house.

Here's the 9760 unloading on the go. I was standing on top of the hopper bottom videoing.

ryan, do you have central fill on that planter, but still have the individual boxes?? i'm confused? you guys add that bulk system yourself?

We ordered it that way. In case we went back to raising seed corn. We had the regular units put on along with the fertilizer openers with the tank on the tongue. it's nice because you can plant several different hybrids.

i never knew you could do that. does the bulk system fill the normal boxes, or does it just deliver enough seed to the meter?

It fill the normal boxes till the seed covers the tube that blows it in. Then when it goes down, it fills it back up. We also have plugs we can put in that will stop the CCS and we can put in bags for a test plot or split it up however we want.

That is an interesting setup.

Who did you used to raise seed with / why did you quit?
Everyone is cutting acres everywhere for '09 crop.
