factory overload springs

I was thinking adding the camper over loads. I did a web search and came up empty. All I have now is a single spring pack. I want to add the extra spring pack on top of the primary pack. Has anybody done this or know of the part numbers?

Sorry, mine came with them from the factory. Have you checked salvage yards?? I think all the SRW '04 and '05 came with them standard.

It looks like there were 4 options...

It should be noted that in the light gray bar near the top of each picture in the light gray bar there are application notes. The 3 & 4 leaf ones look like Wrecker Provisions. Interestingly enough the one with the 2 leaf overload excludes SRW trucks, not sure why.

6 leaf primary pack + 2 leaf auxiliary

6 leaf primary pack + 3 leaf auxiliary

6 leaf primary pack + 4 leaf auxiliary

Here's mine. 6 + 1. Came from the factory that way. Can't say I've ever seen a 6 + 2 on a GMT800 3500 SRW. :dunno:

thanks for the info. I'm glad I have you peeps! I'm thinking I want to get the 2 or 3 leaf aux set up. I will also need the frame mounts too(part #'s?) Looks like I will need to get some prices together. Are these factory part numbers?

Have you thought about air helper bags? I really feel that is a really good upgrade so you don't change your unloaded ride quality. Also those GM helper springs will need to drop into it's added load to work so the rear of the truck will come down before they in-cage. On air helpers you can maintain unloaded ride height un loaded and loaded. Just my suggestion.

thanks for the advice, I am exploring options. I was considering doing the overloads and modifying the contact bracket. I'm not set on any one option yet. I'm still trying to decide if the camper overloads would help with the axle wrap while loaded. I tend to think it will. I have already added taller "sliders" to my lower over load leaves also. I am still considering the bags also. But then I will need to add the compressor and plumb it all in. Then that will lead to a cross bed tool box, to mount a tank and hose reel and the compressor in. Then I will remember how much I want tain horns. It just snow balls, I can't help it!
