I'm wanting to put a bigger exhaust on our '97 and get rid of the soot catcher (cat) but funds right now are very limited. Our 93 parts dually has an aftermarket 4" exhaust on it and was thinking of using it. My question is will the down pipe fit up with minimal effort?
I know that the 93 has a GM3 turbo and the 97 has a GM8, but after looking at pictures of both, the exhaust side doesn't look that different. Any help from the veterans on here would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks

Should be a direct swap

A new system is actually priced cheap, performance truck products sells the complete turbo back exhaust for $260 with free shipping and the kit with out a muffler is only $234 IIRC
