I decided to finally try the driver’s side exhaust manifold replacement. I removed the inner fender and plasma torched most of it and sawzalled the rest to get it removed. I tried welding nuts onto 2 of the easiest to reach bolt parts sticking out. After 4 broken welds on 1 & 2 on the other, I threw in the towel. I had it towed to a shop, and after a week & $300, that side was fixed (I already had the parts). The only problem was they dropped it into 4wd & I didn’t figure that out until 20 miles down the road at 60 mph. I wondered what the vibration was, but was keying on thinking it was related to the exhaust work.
