Last week when towing home my mini-ex from a job the truck started excessively smoking. I didnt notice it until i got on the hill coming to my home and had the truck at wide open throttle pulling the hill. I was towing around 11k and the hill is fairly steep. I just happened see something out of the corner of my eye and i looked in the side veiw mirror, i could barely make out the mini-ex on the trailer it was smoking so bad. It was a heavy grey smoke, i let off the throttle breifly and it disapated a bit but when i stood back on it on came the fog. No SES light, all gauges were fine but when i got to my driveway the engine was ticking much louder. I shut it off and restarted it with no problems, i unhooked the trailer and went to another job to pick up my dump trailer with no issues. Now the only problem i have noticed is when at 45-55mph if a floor the accelerator to WOT the truck will slam and then downshift and accelerate. This slam i cant tell if the convertor isnt unlocking or if the engine is just shutting down for a breif moment. I suspect all the smoke may have been a stuck injector but what would be causing this slam when i go to WOT. WOT is the only time it does this too, the tuner has been off the truck fo over a month now so i know that isnt it.
