EGR deletion

That's something I dont really care about, but will it effect how my truck runs? See I'm at point where i have done all the simple things to my truck(i.e. cai, mass airflow sensor, throttle body, thottle body spacer, programmer, longtube headers, and cats). I'm not sure what I want to do next and a buddy said do an EGR deletion and I would be able to put an intake on. Is that possible?

You can delete it,it will run fine. My 97 chevy truck used to have a 400 small block with 11-1 compression 490 lift Summit cam, long tube headers ,no cats, and vortec heads and intake, and stock computer, though I did adjust fuel pressure to about 70 psi and ran only 93 or 94 octane gas. I also had a MSD 6a box and blaster coil and solid core wires. It ran good, but I always thought the stock intake manifold was retarded, and would probably have a lot more power with a good intake and carb, and a real dist instead of the stupid plastic one, which was always getting wet.
