Easily adding internet to my barn 250’ from my house

Apologies for the lateness to the topic . . .

Good use of powerline data transport :) IIRC, the technology goes back to the late 90's and for a while was theoretically going to overtake all of the other cable / fiber providers. This thread points out how far that plan went . . .

Toward its current use in industry, anybody have a 'smart' power meter and notice that the power company does not do a monthly tour to read the meter any more? Or see reports of daily / hourly power consumption at their house? Yup, that is why. So at least the technology does have some industry application.
